A MONTH OF MILESTONES, CREATIVE MOMENTS & PINOT NOIR

I can hardly believe we’re already turning the page on July. Summer always seems to slip by a little faster each year, and this one is no exception. It’s been a full, beautiful month — equal parts celebration, creativity, and forward momentum — and I’m so excited to share a little behind-the-scenes glimpse into what’s been happening at MKS.

We started the month on a sweet note with something very close to my heart: one full year of Molly Kidd Studio. It’s hard to put into words what this milestone means, but it felt only right to mark the occasion with a cozy team dinner and a moment of reflection. So much has unfolded in just twelve months — design journeys, relationships, risk-taking, and growth — and I shared more yearly highlights, here.

I’ve spent the past few weeks on weekly site visits to our Willamette Project, leading up to install — which officially began yesterday. Pinch me. After 9 months of planning, designing, and decision-making, it’s all coming to life. This project has been a journey filled with intention, collaboration, and heart. Walking through the space one last time before install, we paused in each room, imagining how the pieces we’ve chosen will settle in… how the light will dance across new textures… how our clients will begin to live in the space.

There’s something magical about this moment — that quiet hum of anticipation just before everything clicks into place. It’s where vision meets reality, and it never gets old. From custom furniture to finishes inspired by the land and lifestyle of the region, this home is a love letter to Pacific Northwest living. We’re sharing all the behind-the-scenes on stories — run, don’t walk.

On the business front, we closed out the month with exciting momentum: TWO new clients joined the MKS family — one in Seattle, Washington and the other in Pasadena, California. Each project has its own narrative and design language, and I can already feel how inspiring these stories will be.

To top it off, we had another content day — always a creative breath of fresh air. These days are a chance to zoom out, give insight visually, and bring the brand to life in new ways.

And of course… it wouldn’t be summer without a little wine. We snuck in a few tasting moments, including one very special day selecting our Pinot for the year (plus a fun surprise). The perfect toast to what’s next. Here’s to soaking up the rest of summer, making space for inspiration, and continuing to dream big.
